Project Accountant/Billing Specialist

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is seeking a skilled Project Accountant/Billing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely generation and submission of monthly invoices to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine contract billing terms and requirements by thoroughly reviewing project contracts and agreements.
- Generate and submit client invoice packages that accurately reflect the services rendered and align with the agreed-upon billing terms.
- Assist project managers in the preparation of supporting documentation, such as timesheets, expense reports, and purchase orders.
- Be accountable for accurate and timely invoice submission, maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop positive client relationships by communicating effectively regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and other billing-related matters.
- Set up and maintain project system fields using relevant accounting software or systems.
- Support the accounting team as needed, providing assistance and support in various financial activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Working knowledge of GAAP Standards and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate and work well within cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Associate's degree required or relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
- Experience with a comprehensive accounting system (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint experience is a plus).
This position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking. The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials, typically not exceeding 20 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work:The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule.
Compensation:The provided salary ranges are general guidelines; actual compensation depends on factors like educational background, experience, skills, certifications, and market trends.
