Job Overview

ITC Defense is seeking a highly skilled Government Contracting Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and recording
  • Post and reconcile bi-weekly payroll
  • Maintain the Chart of Accounts and prepare journal entries
  • Analyze and correct errors in the general ledger
  • Administer payroll tax and sales tax/property tax
  • Manage project accounting, including WBS setup, billing setup, labor category maintenance, work authorization, and reporting
  • Oversee timesheet and expense report administration and approvals
  • Track fixed assets and administer accounting software
  • Manage corporate credit card administration and file/digitize accounting paperwork
  • Assist with monthly project control and incurred cost submission preparation
  • Support DCAA audits and provisional billing rate development
  • Generate monthly accounting reports and review/analyze results
  • Assist with ISO 9001 purchasing process ownership and related activities
  • Support ITC leadership in financial reviews, policy/procedure drafting, decision making, and audits
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting for federal contracting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, FAR, and DCAA accounting standards
  • Proficiency in federal contracting accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
