Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome members and guests with a friendly demeanor, fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Promote and inform members about various events organized by the Wellness department.
  • Address inquiries and concerns from members and guests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage the opening and closing of the facility as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all fitness equipment in the studios and on the fitness floor.
  • Regularly organize fitness equipment throughout the shift.
  • Sanitize small equipment and mats after each use.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment to identify any malfunctions or issues.
  • Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude while interacting with employees, members, and guests.
  • Guide members on the proper use of fitness equipment.
  • Ensure fitness floor amenities are well-stocked, including water cups, gym wipes, and towels.
  • Report any equipment concerns to management promptly.
  • Keep accurate equipment logs and stay informed about repair statuses.
  • Communicate repair updates to members as necessary.
  • Enforce club rules and policies in a courteous manner.
  • Respond to emergencies according to training protocols and report incidents to management.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Issue facility equipment to members as needed.
  • Complete daily checklists in accordance with established standards.
  • Adhere to departmental uniform and grooming guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Follow all departmental and club policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of managing a diverse workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate tact and understanding when addressing various customer service challenges.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Willingness to provide exceptional service to members and a desire to lead the department towards achieving its goals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for a significant portion of the workday.
  • Frequent bending and stooping throughout the workday.
  • Standing and walking for the majority of the workday.
