The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Account Director to lead our client business and day-to-day management of client programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day of the client's major global sponsorships, supporting client on overall sponsorship strategy, and partnering with internal specialty groups to develop and implement client programming.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leads and oversees the day-to-day of the client's major global sponsorships
  • Supports client on overall sponsorship strategy
  • Partners with internal specialty groups to develop and implement client programming
  • Drives cross-functional project management to support integrated marketing campaigns and global ways of working
  • Crafts strategic recommendations for the sponsorship campaign that are relevant, rooted in fan passions, and aligned with both brand initiatives and the client target audience
  • Leads all aspects of the relationship with our key sponsorship partner(s), including the property and vendors, and serves as the key day-to-day point of contact on behalf of the client
  • Leads delivery, management, and development of core sponsorship branding assets and integrations
  • Builds, manages, and tracks the program budget for internal reporting and client reports
  • Oversight and management of direct reports, while also supporting career development
  • Other related duties/projects as reasonably assigned

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Possess significant marketing partnership/sponsorship experience, ideally within an agency setting, and excel at handling expectations with multiple partners
  • Excellent project management skills, managing across several workstreams to connect all of the dots
  • A minimum of 7+ years' experience in sports sponsorship or experiential marketing
  • Experience working with global rights holders (preferred) and/or on global campaigns
  • Confident and comfortable presenting to senior clients and partners
  • Keen sense of business process and how sports sponsorship, event marketing, communications, and events are used to impact the bottom line and drive brand objectives
  • Versatile and able to develop, create, and implement POVs, strategic marketing plans, and program development documents for several programs simultaneously
  • Have experience overseeing executional deliverables and program activations across multiple projects
