Faculty Position in Pediatric Neurology

The Department of Neurology at Augusta University is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team as an open-rank full-time faculty member in Pediatric Neurology. The successful candidate will develop a robust clinical practice in Pediatric Neurology and will function as part of a treatment team of physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APP), and nurses in the Department of Neurology.
Responsibilities- This position includes responsibilities for teaching, clinical, and research activities in an academic environment with pediatric neurologists.
- Clinical responsibilities will involve attending duties in the pediatric neurology clinic and inpatient services.
- Teaching responsibilities will include teaching medical student courses and clerkship, mentoring graduate students and trainees, training pediatric neurology residents, fellow, and medical students and teaching continuing education programs.
- Research activities include development of independent, extramurally funded research program.
- The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank and in administrative and committee work. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
- MD/DO and completion of ACGME accredited residency or fellowship program in Pediatric Neurology
- Assistant Professor - Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training
- Associate Professor - Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
- Professor - Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements.
