Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Endocrinology physician to join our team as a Clinical Faculty member. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for pediatric patients, including satellite locations, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The position will also involve educational responsibilities, including providing mentorship, clinical supervision, and consultation to residents/medical students/staff at Augusta University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care for pediatric patients, including diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of disorders, consultations, acute care, ordering and interpreting lab results, developing treatment plans, and patient/family education.
  • Maintain and ensure that relevant patient records are properly updated.
  • Share weekday, weekend, and holiday emergent/after-hours call coverage.
  • Provide mentorship, clinical supervision, and consultation to residents/medical students/staff at Augusta University.
  • Develop a more in-depth educational experience for trainees in pediatric endocrinology.
  • Provide training to residents/medical students/staff at Augusta University/AUMC in pediatric endocrinology through didactics.
Requirements
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school/university.
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Must have or be eligible for a State of Georgia medical license, federal DEA, and CPR certification.
  • Assistant Professor: Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate postgraduate training.
  • Associate Professor: Mid-level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
  • Professor: Senior-level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
