Position Overview:

The Regional Account Manager will report directly to the Regional Sales Leader (RSL) or the Director of Sales within their designated area. This role is integral to our team, focusing on customer retention through strategic account management. The position encompasses both account management and the pursuit of growth opportunities within our existing client base. As a pivotal sales role, it demands effective territory planning, cross-functional ownership of all single-family segments, and collaboration with peers and management to facilitate the onboarding of new accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with key influential customers in designated regions, ensuring the defense of our business interests.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the existing customer base, collaborating with growth representatives to transition accounts effectively.
  • Assist customers in their transition to James Hardie products by removing obstacles and fostering a positive experience throughout the process.
  • Leverage CRM tools to make informed decisions that drive year-over-year volume growth.
  • Conduct market segmentation analysis to lead all aspects of the customer sales process, utilizing additional resources for solution development as needed.
  • Build and nurture relationships, expand networks, and actively seek out potential leads.
  • Manage a priority-based schedule for prospective customers, demonstrating accountability and organization.
  • Engage in key activities within the assigned territory to maximize outreach.
  • Influence key stakeholders to advocate for James Hardie products.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of company offerings, customer programs, and associated benefits.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making processes in the market.
  • Lead presentations and discussions in front of large audiences.
  • Exhibit a passion for personal and company success, striving to meet or exceed established goals.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a high-touch sales environment.
  • Proven success in an account management capacity.
  • Ability to demonstrate construction expertise and knowledge on job sites.
  • Strong sales acumen and comprehension of the sales process.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, discipline, and self-management.
  • Proficient in building relationships across various organizational levels and environments.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% out of market.
  • Valid driver's license and a Bachelor's Degree are required.
