Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse II for our Duke Fertility Center in Morrisville. This role is essential to our healthcare team, providing both direct and indirect patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver, oversee, and document professional nursing care in accordance with physician directives and established protocols, tailoring care plans based on patient assessments.
- Manage communications and patient inquiries effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to oversee patient fertility treatments, including IUI, IVF, and FET cycles.
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise both licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Support nursing colleagues in delivering care and take on leadership roles as needed.
- Ensure a safe and efficient care environment by monitoring equipment and resources.
- Engage in professional development by maintaining competencies and pursuing educational opportunities.
- Act as a mentor to support the growth of other staff and learners.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of clinical performance improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- Participate in a rotating weekend schedule, limited to one weekend per month.
- Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma program is required.
- Registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete it within five years.
- A minimum of three years of registered nursing experience is necessary.
- Experience in fertility nursing is preferred.
This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts and a rotating weekend requirement.
