Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse II role within the Intensive Care Nursery is designed for experienced registered nurses who are committed to our mission of Advancing Health Together.
Department Overview:
The Intensive Care Nursery provides specialized care for over 1000 infants annually, including those with complex medical needs.
- Care for Level II and III patients in the Special Care and Transitional Care Nurseries.
- Manage a diverse range of diagnoses, including extremely low birth weight and congenital anomalies.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver family-centered care.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 2-4 weekend shifts every four weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Supervise and guide the activities of both licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Act as a team leader or charge nurse as needed.
- Ensure a safe and effective care environment by monitoring resources and equipment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and support the growth of colleagues.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as required.
