Position Overview
As an experienced Registered Nurse within the Float Pool, you will be part of a dedicated team delivering exceptional care across various Medical Surgical Units. Your role will involve:
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and participating in patient rounds.
- Managing patient care with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:6, depending on unit acuity.
- Providing support with a standing charge nurse and Health Unit Coordinator available 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
In the Float Pool, adaptability and teamwork are essential. You will:
- Utilize your extensive training to provide comprehensive nursing care across diverse patient populations.
- Plan and deliver professional nursing services in line with established policies and procedures.
- Assess patient needs and tailor care plans accordingly, ensuring effective communication with patients and families.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other nursing staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Engage in your professional development by maintaining competencies and participating in educational opportunities.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher), an Associate's Degree in Nursing, or a Nursing Diploma.
- A minimum of twelve months of relevant clinical experience.
- Current registration with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or compact RN licensure.
- BLS Certification.
