Position Overview:
The Senior Director of Cardiovascular Operations collaborates closely with the Service Line Administrator and Physician Leadership to strategically design and implement comprehensive business development initiatives tailored to the unique needs of the cardiovascular patient demographic. This role is crucial in guiding the service line towards achieving both financial and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development and Strategic Planning:
    Work alongside the Service Line Administrator to perform in-depth market research and analysis, identifying growth opportunities, competitive trends, and emerging patient needs within the cardiovascular service line.
  • Develop and execute strategies to promote growth, market expansion, and revenue generation in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including clinical leaders and finance teams, to formulate business cases and feasibility studies for new programs and partnerships.
  • Assist service line leadership in evaluating potential strategic partnerships and collaborations that enhance service capabilities.
  • Stay informed on industry dynamics, healthcare regulations, and reimbursement policies to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to business development, including patient volume and financial performance, to foster continuous improvement.

  • Financial Analysis and Performance Monitoring:
    Conduct financial assessments and forecasting for the service line, focusing on revenue, expenses, and budgeting.
  • Evaluate financial metrics to assess service line performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate coding, billing, and reimbursement processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior leadership, highlighting performance metrics and strategic insights.
  • Analyze market trends and regulatory changes to anticipate financial impacts and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Collaboration and Leadership:
    Promote a collaborative environment by engaging with clinical leaders and department heads to align objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to business teams, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.
  • Work with marketing teams to create effective communication strategies that promote the service line's offerings.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the service line at industry events to enhance visibility and build professional relationships.
  • Support team members' professional growth through performance evaluations and training opportunities.

Compensation: Competitive salary range based on experience.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance or business development within the healthcare sector.
  • Licensure: None required.

Physical Demands:
This role primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers, with occasional travel required for meetings and programs.
