Job Title: Human Resources Representative

Job Summary:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Representative to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance within the organization.
  • Support employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries, managing the open enrollment process, and coordinating benefits orientation sessions.
  • Assist in organizing training programs and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the performance management process by tracking evaluations and providing support for managers in conducting performance reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within the fire protection or related safety industries.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, labor laws, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software (HRIS) for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
