Job Summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a highly skilled Grant Coordinator to join our team. As a Grant Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing sponsored and non-sponsored research, working closely with principal investigators to ensure the successful administration of grants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and manage grant support systems to ensure proper expenditures and adequate staffing.
  • Work with principal investigators to determine financial plans and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Determine budget amounts, salary and fringe projections, operating expenses, and travel.
  • Review and process transactions on each project, ensuring compliance with sponsoring agencies, the university, and the Research Office.
  • Provide funding analysis history to principal investigators to determine if funding changes are needed.
  • Assist with effort reporting and reconcile all expenses monthly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of related professional work experience in administrative, grant, accounting, or customer service support.
  • Excellent written communication skills, as evidenced by application materials.
  • At least three years' experience with computers, including spreadsheet, word processing, and database software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a wide range of populations in various situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, as evidenced in application materials.
