Administrative Specialist, Office of the Provost

The University of Delaware seeks an Administrative Specialist to provide high-level administrative support to the Office of the Provost. The successful candidate will serve as a first-line response to complex, sensitive, and highly classified matters, utilizing tact and diplomacy to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Vice Provosts for Academic Programs and University Initiatives and Faculty Affairs, including coordinating complex meeting schedules, managing calendars, and drafting reports and correspondence.
- Manage the daily and long-term calendar and supportive needs for the Vice Provosts, including coordinating logistics for events and activities.
- Respond to inquiries and emails in a timely manner, utilizing initiative, independent judgment, and decision-making skills to resolve issues and provide quality customer service.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including flight and hotel reservations, and process financial transactions and reconcile reimbursements.
- Manage and maintain inventory of office supplies and provide basic office supply support to Provost Office staff.
- Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with administrative support practices and procedures.
- Ability to handle information and documentation that are of a confidential and highly sensitive nature.
- Commitment to ensuring confidentiality and privacy are recognized and preserved.
