Position Summary: The Quality Operations Manager will oversee the daily functions of the Value Added Services (VAS) team, including labor scheduling, supervision, and the effective use of resources. This role is crucial in ensuring that the quality of products shipped meets or surpasses customer expectations, adhering to established quality standards.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all operational aspects of designated VAS departments and processes.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure effective communication and cooperation across the organization.
  • Monitor and manage departmental performance against budgetary goals, including staffing and overtime management.
  • Guide staff to achieve operational goals and objectives within assigned departments.
  • Support the achievement of operational objectives through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisory staff and team members to meet business objectives.
  • Review and enhance procedures and work instructions to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain the site's Control Documents binder.
  • Ensure employee training on new or updated procedures.
  • Lead internal and external audits.
  • Oversee the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process.
  • Coordinate the processing of nonconforming products.
  • Work closely with the VAS team to deliver high-quality products.
  • Manage the rework process, ensuring quality controls are implemented effectively.
  • Report on the status of quality projects and escalate production quality issues as necessary.
  • Implement and uphold departmental policies and standards.
  • Undertake project-based assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a master's degree plus 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a quality role, with prior experience in ISO certified environments.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated success in managing people, processes, and projects.
  • Familiarity with Manhattan SCALE and NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Understanding of WMS setup and configurations is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and set goals for self and team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in team management and leadership.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience in employee selection, training, and performance evaluation.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Lead and develop a team.
  • Conduct interviews and training for new employees.
  • Perform performance evaluations.

Physical Requirements:
