Position Summary: The Quality Operations Manager oversees the daily functions of the Value Added Services (VAS) team, ensuring effective labor scheduling, supervision, and optimal use of resources. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality standards of products shipped, aligning with customer expectations and the established quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all operational aspects of designated VAS departments and processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among management teams.
  • Monitor and manage departmental performance against budgetary expectations, including staffing and overtime management.
  • Ensure the achievement of operational goals and objectives through effective staff direction and process management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisory staff and team members to meet business objectives.
  • Review and enhance procedures and work instructions to ensure quality checks meet customer standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for quality control processes.
  • Conduct training for employees on updated procedures and work instructions.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Oversee the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
  • Coordinate the processing of nonconforming products and maintain relevant logs.
  • Collaborate with the Value Added Services team to deliver high-quality products.
  • Manage the rework process, ensuring quality tests are conducted and records are maintained.
  • Report on the status of quality initiatives and address production quality issues promptly.
  • Implement and uphold departmental policies and standards.
  • Undertake project-based assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a master’s degree, plus 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in ISO certified manufacturing operations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage people, processes, and projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with Manhattan SCALE and NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management system setups and configurations is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and set departmental goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in team management and leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable communicating across all organizational levels.
