Manager of Quality Assurance Operations

As a Quality Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily functions of the Value Added Services (VAS) team, ensuring optimal scheduling, supervision, and resource management. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the highest standards of quality for products, ensuring they consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all operational aspects of assigned VAS departments and processes.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across various levels of the organization.
- Monitor and manage departmental performance against budgetary goals, including staffing and overtime management.
- Drive the achievement of operational goals for assigned departments through effective staff direction and process management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisory staff and team members to enhance productivity and process accuracy.
- Review and refine procedures and work instructions to ensure robust quality checks are in place.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for quality control processes.
- Ensure all employees are trained on updated procedures and instructions.
- Conduct internal and external audits to uphold quality standards.
- Oversee the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
- Coordinate the handling of nonconforming products and maintain relevant logs.
- Collaborate with the Value Added Services team to deliver superior quality products.
- Manage the rework process, ensuring quality tests are performed and documentation is maintained.
- Report on the status of quality initiatives and escalate production quality issues as necessary.
- Implement and uphold departmental policies and standards.
- Engage in project-based assignments as required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a master's degree plus 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a quality management role, preferably in an ISO certified environment.
- Demonstrated success in managing people, processes, and projects.
- Familiarity with Manhattan SCALE and NetSuite is advantageous.
- Understanding of WMS setup and configurations is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in team leadership and development.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Experience in employee training and performance evaluations.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals.
- Conduct interviews and training for new employees.
- Perform performance evaluations for team members.
