Business Development Coordinator

The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals by cultivating new business and strengthening relationships with existing Select Employer Groups (SEG), Preferred Businesses, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities- Nurture existing relationships using a variety of engagement methods to increase participation, account usage, and trust of First Service as their primary financial institution.
- Identify prospective SEGs to increase our overall SEG footprint and prepare and present SEG/Preferred Partner proposals to sell the benefits of establishing a primary financial partner relationship.
- Research existing SEGs to obtain relevant data and insights that reveal strength, value, participation, and growth opportunities of the relationship.
- Develop and maintain a prospect list to acquire new SEGs and Preferred Businesses and utilize programming to ensure SEGs/Preferred Partners have a unique tracking code and monitor data monthly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on SEG-specific marketing materials, promo items, and promotions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and guidelines are met.
- Attend various events in the community to promote the credit union, spread goodwill, and generate new leads.
- Meet or exceed the credit union's planned market share, assets, loans, and other product/service objectives as stated in the business plan.
- Meet the credit union's growth objective with respect to Select Employer Groups (SEG) and Preferred Partners.
- Provide recommendations to management based on current research data, SEG feedback, and opportunity ratings regarding strategies and direction the credit union should take.
- Accomplish duties and assignments in accordance with applicable credit union policy and procedures as well as any state and federal rules and regulations.
- Reinforce company culture by providing accurate service and support to all members and associates.
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- A bachelor's degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships both inside and outside the credit union.
- High level of self-motivation, adaptability, and ability to work and think independently.
- Strong oral, writing, presentation, and communications skills.
- Creativity and innovation for finding new and more efficient ways of doing things.
- Ability to prioritize business commitments, multi-task, and schedule work activities to meet deadlines and goals.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed to represent the credit union at various events.
