Role Overview:
The Electronics Assembly Technician is responsible for the fabrication and modification of RF microwave hybrid modules and sub-assemblies, which range from mid to high complexity. Key responsibilities include:

- Installation of connectors, substrates, components, and modules in intricate microwave assemblies, utilizing paste and sheet epoxies.

- Conducting disassembly, assembly, modification, rework, and repair operations on various pre-production subassemblies, assemblies, and complete systems that incorporate integrated circuit technology.

- Performing operations on units that have been returned due to testing failures, identifying and isolating problem areas based on provided test failure documentation.

- Planning work sequences by evaluating available work in progress to meet production schedules.

- Utilizing measurement tools (e.g., reticle, drop indicator) to verify parameters during and after work to ensure compliance with specifications.

- Collaborating with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams to develop procedures and troubleshoot products to meet specifications.

- Working independently with minimal supervision.


Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in electronics or microelectronics assembly.
  • Ability to work for extended periods under a microscope and use hand tools such as torque drivers and tweezers; strong dexterity and eye/hand coordination are essential.
  • Capability to interpret and work from detailed process sheets and drawings; proficient computer skills are necessary for accessing drawings and work instructions.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse team environment; strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are required.
  • A High School Diploma is mandatory.

Shift Details:
Second Shift Hours: 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in ESD and FOD controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes for small electronic devices.
  • Background in working on military products within ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environments.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in soldering components to printed wiring boards in accordance with J-STD-001.
