Community Housing Advocate

We are seeking a skilled Housing Specialist to join our team at OUR JUST FUTURE in Portland, OR. As a Housing Specialist, you will work closely with families and individuals experiencing homelessness or in need of supportive services to secure safe and stable housing.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist families with housing search, including helping them overcome barriers to housing and assisting with application processes
- Conduct in-depth assessments to identify housing and work history, physical/emotional health, legal issues, debt, social support, strengths, struggles, and available resources
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities using OUR JUST FUTURE procedures and data reporting systems
- Bachelor's degree in social service/social sciences field or equivalent experience
- Experience with crisis intervention, community networking, and resource development
- Knowledge of local and regional housing markets, basic landlord-tenant laws, and tenant rights
- $21.65 - 25.70/hour DOE (estimated annual salary: $45,000 - 53,400)
