About New Avenues for Youth:

We are an innovative social services agency dedicated to supporting homeless, foster-care, and at-risk youth in the Portland area. Our mission is to provide young people with the resources and skills needed to lead healthy, productive lives.

As a Youth Housing Advocate, you will play a vital role in our day services program, engaging youth in activities that promote their development and well-being. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Develop relationships with youth to support them in their daily responsibilities
  • Create a safe and supportive environment
  • Maintain a clean and organized space
  • Work collaboratively with staff to provide basic services and support
  • Oversee and participate in cleaning and upkeep of facilities

Salary and Benefits:

The rate of pay for this role is $17.00 an hour, with $19.00 an hour for overnight shifts. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Able to develop positive relationships with youth and staff
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including overnights
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work or related field preferred
