We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Affordable Housing Specialist to join our team at Hacienda CDC. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a meaningful difference in the lives of low-income families and individuals by providing essential resources and support services.

About the Position:

  • The Affordable Housing Specialist will be responsible for supporting residents in achieving housing stability through resource navigation, skill-building workshops, and collaboration with property management teams.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of community development principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in community organizing or case management, with a focus on affordable housing and community development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct new tenant orientations and provide residents with pathways to essential resources.
  2. Organize resident-focused events, fostering community building among residents and property management teams.
  3. Become familiar with trauma-informed practices and implement them in all aspects of the position.
  4. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with residents, onsite staff, and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in community organizing or case management.
  • At least an associate's degree with two years of experience in similar roles.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, Somali, or Slavic (Ukrainian/Russian) required, with the ability to communicate effectively in known language.

What We Offer:

  • An estimated salary range of $47,840-$49,920 per year, paid hourly, plus a generous benefits package.
  • A starting salary that reflects your qualifications and experience.
  • A bilingual Spanish premium of up to 3% available after 90 days upon successful completion of a language assessment.
