Position Summary
The Dedicated Chief Maintenance Officer (CMO) will oversee all aspects of maintenance operations, including programs, inspections, analytics, and project management for the designated aircraft.

This role includes the following responsibilities: Uphold and promote the Clay Lacy Vision, Mission, and Values on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate actively with the Clay Lacy Team, aligning with its vision, mission, and values.
2. Work effectively with aircraft crew members to support their missions and meet owner expectations.
3. Be present for all aircraft arrivals and departures at the designated home base and surrounding airports as necessary.
4. Manage daily workflow to ensure optimal decision-making regarding maintenance resources for assigned aircraft.
5. Conduct light and moderate work on aircraft, including pre/post-flight inspections after each trip.

6. Coordinate moderate and heavy maintenance efficiently to maximize aircraft availability, considering owner schedules and collaborating with the crew and management team.

7. Foster an environment where team members feel comfortable sharing comments, concerns, and suggestions with the aircraft management team.

8. Maintain accurate records as required by FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and Clay Lacy policies in compliance with Part 91 or Part 135 standards.

9. Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered to Clay Lacy and its clientele.
10. Build and enhance relationships with vendors/suppliers, contracts, and support services.
11. Anticipate client and crew needs to continuously elevate support and service levels.

12. Represent Clay Lacy in aviation matters through industry associations, regulatory bodies, and community organizations.

13. Promote high morale through awareness of department policies, employee development initiatives, and regular meetings to encourage best practices in communication.

14. Serve as the resident expert on safety-related matters.
15. Liaise with safety organizations regarding industry safety concerns.
16. Identify and report safety hazards using the SMS program to mitigate risks.

17. Be available on-site at least four days a week for preventative maintenance outside of scheduled maintenance.

18. Provide the Aircraft Management Team with a 24-month maintenance projection, updated monthly, including downtime and estimated costs.
19. Review vendor invoices and close work orders promptly.
20. Deliver weekly maintenance schedule updates to the leadership and management teams.
21. Input and update all aircraft discrepancies in the tracking program.
22. Update the system with maintenance events for visibility.
23. Utilize management tools for all aircraft events that could disrupt operations.

24. Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance or Assistant Director of Maintenance quarterly to audit aircraft and records.

25. Report all aborted flights and diversions to the Director of Maintenance or Assistant Director of Maintenance.
26. Generate necessary reports for all aborted or diverted flights.

27. Upon completion of work, submit the work package and required documentation for review.

28. Ensure all work packages are thoroughly reviewed and all critical items are identified before submission to maintenance providers.

29. Review aircraft maintenance bulletins quarterly to enhance dispatch reliability.

30. Prepare an annual maintenance budget for each assigned aircraft.

31. Verify that all third-party maintenance providers are approved vendors before any work is performed.

32. Ensure all completed work packages are properly documented and submitted to the records department.

33. Manage all parts ordering and service requests through the designated system.
34. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (A&P).
Experience & Requirements:
Must possess a valid US FAA A&P Certificate.
Corporate aviation experience is essential.
Adhere to all Federal Aviation regulations and company policies.
Must pass drug screening and background checks as required.

Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 10 years of A&P experience with familiarity in maintaining assigned aircraft models.
At least 3 years of experience managing teams or contractors.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
Willingness to travel for maintenance events not conducted at the home base.
Flexibility to work long and irregular hours.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and management capabilities.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure while providing excellent service.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach; may involve lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requires manual dexterity for operating office equipment and conducting repairs on aircraft.
