Your Role in Driving Success

  • This position offers the opportunity to foster profitable growth in Financial Lines by crafting innovative solutions for intricate risks. You will be tasked with underwriting a variety of new and renewal business, leveraging your established relationship-building abilities.
  • Collaboration with brokers will be essential to convey our risk appetite and value proposition, as well as to comprehend the deal structures, terms, and products that best align with client requirements. You will negotiate pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients.
  • Generating new business by expanding your broker network, participating in broker events, and cultivating new market relationships will be vital. You will work alongside AIG Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters from other lines of business to target desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities.
  • As a senior team member, you will exemplify exceptional customer service standards for brokers and clients, setting a benchmark for junior colleagues. Additionally, you will mentor and guide less-experienced underwriters, assisting them in building their broker networks.
  • Training and support for junior underwriters may also be part of your responsibilities, enabling them to effectively implement strategies.

Qualifications for Success

  • In-depth knowledge of the US Financial Lines sector (D&O, EPL, PTL, Cyber, Fidelity), including product features, regulatory environment, and associated risks.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial statements.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues, along with a capacity for rapid learning, adaptability to change, and effective prioritization of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Customer-focused and sales-oriented attributes: motivated, determined, technically proficient, proactive, and accountable.
  • A willingness to engage in mentoring and training, even if you have not previously held these responsibilities.
