Job Title: Regional Vice President Business Development

The Regional Vice President Business Development is a key leadership role within EquiTrust Life Insurance Company, responsible for leading the Sales team in achieving company-wide strategic goals and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of sales and marketing professionals in achieving sales targets and expanding the distribution of annuity products, including Registered Index-Linked Annuities (RILA).
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company goals, working closely with internal teams to ensure our annuity and RILA products are competitively positioned and meet market demands.
  • Maintain and enhance existing partnerships with key banking and broker-dealer clients, providing expert guidance and support to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with financial institution intermediaries, ensuring that terms are favorable and align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Deliver high-impact presentations and training sessions to banking and broker-dealer partners, ensuring they are well-equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively sell our annuity and RILA products.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, using this knowledge to influence product development and adjust sales strategies as needed.
Requirements:
  • 10 or more years of experience in education, training, business development, and relationship management in the financial institution industry, with a strong focus on life insurance, annuities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFP, ChFC) are preferred.
  • Series 6 and 63 required; Series 7 preferred.
Working Conditions:

Frequent travel (more than 20% of the time) to various locations, including West Des Moines, Iowa, and Chicago, Illinois.
