About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Student Services to join our team at Capital City Public Charter School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the academic and social success of our students with disabilities and English Learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the inclusion program, including the hiring and supervision of inclusion teachers, case managers, and dedicated aides.
  • Coordinate programming and work closely with the EL Specialist to monitor EL progress.
  • Develop and implement a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) to support struggling learners.
  • Design and provide training for inclusion teachers in specially designed instruction (SDI), accommodations, modifications, and other learning needs.
  • Supervise inclusion teachers and ensure they provide effective instruction to students using a variety of strategies for diverse learners.
  • Meet regularly with the Principal, Instructional Coach & Curriculum Coordinator, and Chief Inclusion Officer to ensure instructional consistency, clear expectations, and a coordinated data-driven approach to supporting teachers and students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least one of the following: Master's degree in education or special education, five or more years of middle/high school teaching experience with Special Education students and/or ELs in an Inclusion setting, or special education certification.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations is strongly preferred.
  • Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.
