Director of Learning Support and Innovation

**Job Summary**
Howard Community College seeks a skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Assistant Director of Tutorial Services. This key position plays a vital role in ensuring the success of students by providing high-quality tutorial services and support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate tutorial services, tutor training, and learning center programming to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of 60+ part-time tutors to ensure seamless support to students.
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term goals in collaboration with related directors and personnel.
- Maintain accurate tutorial data using TracCloud software and ensure CRLA certification for the training program.
- Collaborate with directors working with special populations to address tutoring needs and ensure equal access to support services.
- Work with the IT department to troubleshoot system issues and maintain instructional laptops.
- Track and analyze student tutoring usage and retention data to inform program improvement.
- Promptly address tutor, student, and professor concerns and complaints.
- Collaborate with faculty to provide embedded tutoring and determine necessary support services.
**Requirements**
**Requirements and Qualifications**
- 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in a community college setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven record of effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

**Estimated Salary:** $68,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
**Work Environment**
The Assistant Director of Tutorial Services will work in a fast-paced, high-student-traffic environment and must be able to positively and respectfully interact with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
