Job Title: Director, Directorate of Construction
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Directorate of Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing executive leadership and direction in the formulation, development, and execution of assigned program functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement construction safety standards and regulations
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies on the implementation and enforcement of construction safety and health requirements
- Provide technical assistance and develop compliance directives, guidelines, interpretations, policies, and clarifications of occupational safety standards
- Develop realistic and effective OSHA enforcement programs for the construction industry
- Provide executive leadership and direction in the formulation, development, and execution of assigned program functions
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must meet Mandatory Technical Qualifications and Executive Core Qualifications
- Must complete one year SES probationary period if not previously covered
- Subject to financial disclosure requirements
- Appointment to this position may require a background investigation
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess technical and management experience and have developed the knowledge and skills required for effective performance of the specific duties of the position
- Candidates must have had experience at a major management level (normally equivalent to the GS-15 level in the federal service)
- Candidates must meet all legal and regulatory requirements
