Job Title: Assistant Director Victory Channel

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Director to join our team at Victory Channel. The successful candidate will assist the Director during Victory Channel programs, including EMIC Sunday services, and will be responsible for communicating timing cues and relaying information to and from the Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Relay information to and from technical crew, show participants, and other production team members during live presentations or recordings.
  • Attend all rehearsals, especially music, and take detailed notes of all information needed by the Director to properly capture what happens during the production.
  • Must be very organized and require minimum instruction.
Requirements:
  • College degree, in Television Production or related field preferred.
  • 5 years minimum experience in TV studio operations
  • Experience in music callback to director and crew.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of music, song lyrics, musical instruments
  • Working knowledge of television equipment and systems including all aspects of production and postproduction
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, database systems software
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, able to work well with people
  • Reliable and accountable
  • Good organization skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage a high volume of work efficiently
  • Positive attitude, flexible to change to meet new expectations and needs identified
  • Professional approach and presentation

Typical Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to work, stand and sit for a minimum of seven and a half hours per day in various temperatures, depending on location, time of the job, which could include studio, edit suite, and outdoor shoot
  • Production shoots and post-production preparation may require you to assist in carrying equipment or materials
  • Must be able to carry production-related equipment or materials up to 50 pounds, and climb stairs that lead to or from your workplaces
  • Work will involve assistance in production such as video production, running cable, hanging lights, etc.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Must be able to travel as needed, generally no longer than ten days at a time several times a year
Typical Mental Demands:
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans

Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work well in indoor and outdoor settings as project dictates
  • Working conditions are like those of other tele-production facilities involved in producing television programs, spots, and segments.
  • Business office settings, studio, and remote locations are typical workplaces.
  • Times can be outside the regular 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM shift.
  • Weekends as required by meetings and conventions.
  • There may be productions that require you to work longer hours to complete a project

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
  • Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred
  • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
