Green Tree School & Services is on the lookout for a dedicated Information Technology Educator to oversee all aspects of their designated classrooms. This role encompasses service delivery, reporting, and the management of classroom assistants and aides. As a vital member of the Senior Staff, the educator will be expected to uphold exemplary standards of service and conduct, serving as a role model for fellow staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide students in understanding the fundamentals of computer systems, including the scientific and mathematical principles that underpin their functionality, as well as the hardware and software components.
  • Align with the district's goals, vision, and mission.
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Create a positive learning atmosphere that incorporates behavior management strategies tailored to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Design lessons that utilize differentiation techniques to cater to varied learning styles.
  • Educate students on internet safety and Digital Citizenship, adhering to current PDE Standards for Students, emphasizing personal accountability in technology use.
  • Encourage and inspire student learning and creativity.
  • Assist students in relating technological concepts to real-world applications.
  • Stay updated on advancements in technology by engaging with literature, networking with peers, and participating in professional development.
  • Assess and grade students' assignments, projects, and classwork.
  • Supervise and manage student access to computer lab resources.
  • Monitor internet usage among students in accordance with established policies.
  • Collaborate with the Special Education Assistant Director to continually refine effective lesson plans that incorporate technology.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of computer lab materials.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the administration, in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with other staff members to assist with educational technology needs.
  • Demonstrate effective educational technology strategies for teachers, showcasing best practices and research-based instructional methods.
  • Develop innovative lessons designed to engage 21st-century learners.
