Position: Geographic Information Systems Technician
Role Description
Drive Engineering is in search of a driven individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the transportation sector for the role of Geographic Information Systems Technician.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that provides GIS analysis, configures ESRI software, maintains LRS data workflows, develops road inventory data, references transportation assets, re-engineers business processes, analyzes datasets, and integrates business systems for various clients, including PennDOT. With recent substantial federal and state funding in the transportation sector, this position offers a remarkable opportunity for career growth in the fields of information technology and GIS.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, planning, or a related discipline.
Strong oral and written communication skills along with effective time management.
Proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CAD design software is advantageous.
Familiarity with PennDOT standards and permitting processes is highly desirable.
