In alignment with the Korellis mission, the Chief Operations Officer is responsible for guiding the team by fostering growth through effective communication and team-building capabilities. This role collaborates closely with key leaders in both office and field departments to oversee the development and execution of the organization's efficient and cost-effective estimating, planning, coordination, direction, and safety operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of fifteen years in the roofing sector, with at least ten years in leadership roles
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Successful completion of pre-employment and ongoing drug, background, and motor vehicle record screenings

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and communicate the strategic vision for the operations department
  • Work alongside executive leadership to set and achieve company objectives while providing expertise and guidance on operational projects and systems
  • Partner with other departments to fulfill the organization's goals and objectives
  • Identify, propose, and execute new processes, technologies, and systems to enhance and streamline organizational operations and resource utilization
  • Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans align with the organization's business strategy and vision
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security protocols to ensure effective and consistent support and execution
  • Review and approve cost-control reports, project cost estimates, and staffing needs
  • Manage and oversee the department's budget
  • Present regular performance reports and metrics to the CEO and other leadership
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in operations management
  • Assess training needs and ensure appropriate training programs are developed and delivered
  • Collaborate with the Human Resource Manager to recruit, interview, hire, and train management-level personnel within the department
  • Supervise the daily operations of the department
  • Provide timely and constructive performance evaluations
  • Manage employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policies
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Represent the organization in a professional manner
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Support the company's safety initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding company and client information
