Position Overview:

The Fuel Operations Superintendent plays a crucial role in supporting various departments during the pre-construction phase and ensuring timely project completion within budget constraints. This position requires extensive knowledge of the fuel construction sector and strong skills in communication, organization, analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License/CDL is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment operation, grading, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience with underground fuel piping systems is essential.
  • Supervisory experience in the construction field is required.
  • ICC Certification for handling, installing, and testing underground and above-ground piping is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a cost-effective project schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare preconstruction estimates and budgets.
  • Create detailed layouts for pipe systems and related equipment.
  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of tradespeople and laborers, providing clear instructions and assignments.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and timeliness; prepare progress reports and recommend modifications as necessary.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Monitor project budgets and communicate any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of job costs and inventory.
  • Utilize tools to cut, thread, and shape pipes according to specifications.
  • Modify and maintain pipe systems and related equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
