About the Role

The Brock Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Petrochemical Operations Manager to lead our turnaround organization in the petrochemical industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, ensuring safety, quality, and execution goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, focused on delivering high-performance turnarounds through readiness reviews and post-turnaround reviews with actionable items.
  • Utilize key resources and equipment effectively, developing and utilizing forecasting tools to optimize their utilization.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by providing business insights and opportunities.
  • Oversee estimating efforts, ensuring scope and estimating deliverables are defined and met.
  • Ensure all projects have a right-sized organization for their size and complexity.
  • Identify and ensure all company and client deliverables are met.
  • Manage budgeted work scope, including change management tools and communication.
  • Implement visible performance metric reports, including P/A or earned value, schedule compliance, manpower staffing curves, etc., in compliance with company and client requirements.
  • Develop financial forecasting, including profit and loss responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with key company and client personnel.
  • Ensure all work is executed in compliance with client and company quality control standards.
  • Provide a work environment that is consistent with company policies regarding discrimination, violence, or harassment.
  • Manage the hiring of personnel, as required, to meet workload demands.
  • Administer subcontract and union relationships, as needed.
  • Administer and document corrective action in accordance with company and/or client requirements.
  • Provide periodic feedback on subordinates and make recommendations for improvement and wage adjustments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of Project Management experience in the petrochemical industry.
  • Eight to ten years of leading a team of others, with experience in staffing, hiring, and training direct reports.
  • Significant experience using and interpreting technical maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
  • Background in routine and corrective maintenance concepts for process-related facilities.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of process piping systems, exchangers, drums, vessels, and towers.
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of enterprise business management software.
  • Experience creating, analyzing, and delivering business and financial reports and data.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing across all levels of the organization, with clients, and other constituencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality around client or internal company information.
