Position Summary

The Universal Banker II is responsible for conducting all retail financial transactions, cross-selling bank products, and providing exceptional customer service while fostering community relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent quality customer service by demonstrating our service/sales relationship-building behaviors.
  • Evaluate and identify financial needs, presenting appropriate products/services to meet these needs.
  • Open new accounts and related products/services such as debit cards and direct deposits.
  • Process all financial transactions efficiently.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding bank products, services, transactions, and policies.
  • Identify customer financial needs and cross-sell bank products and services accordingly.
  • Process incoming mail transactions and night deposits.
  • Engage in daily ATM proofing, replenishing cash using dual controls, and ensuring the ATM is operational.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in branch activities organized by Branch Management.
  • Exhibit behaviors focused on achieving individual and team goals.
  • Engage in business development initiatives.
  • Assist branch management with audits, certifications, proofs, reconciliations, filing, scanning, and other assigned duties.
  • Confidently teach customers about self-service options.
  • Support other areas of the bank/branch as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND a minimum of 2 years of banking experience.
  • Retail experience with a focus on sales and customer service.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to various branch locations as staffing requires.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
