POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Lube Technician who will play a crucial role in our service department by efficiently performing lube, oil, and filter changes while ensuring a superior experience for our customers. You will be an essential part of our team, contributing to the sales and service process and fostering long-term customer relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, lubrication services, and basic maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency
  • Conduct thorough Multi-Point Vehicle Inspections on all vehicles, adhering to Knudtsen's quality standards
  • Communicate necessary repairs and preventative maintenance to the Service Consultant
  • Utilize video inspection tools and relay findings effectively
  • Operate and maintain lubrication equipment in a safe manner
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented individual with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Experience in a dealership environment is preferred
  • Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, with both automatic and manual transmissions
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle report with a safe driving record
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Subject to random drug testing as required by the company

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands of this position require the employee to perform essential functions effectively.

While executing job duties, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools, and communicate with customers and team members. The role may involve reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Employees may occasionally need to sit, climb, or balance. Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds is expected, with the potential for heavier items occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Team members typically work 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment, often exposed to mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals. There may be occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, and noise levels that are generally loud.
