Position Overview: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving and verifying incoming shipments, ensuring that all items are accurately stocked and documented in accordance with dealership protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and confirm shipments, ensuring accuracy in both orders and quantities.
- Process will-call orders efficiently.
- Prepare parts for sales staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of receiving and shipping activities.
- Organize and prepare shipments for stocking.
- Assist with inventory stocking and management.
- Support the upkeep of storage bins and equipment.
- Help arrange the department layout, including the movement of storage bins as required.
- Oversee returned parts and manage a designated storage area for these items.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper labeling of all bins, aisles, and storage areas.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet the company's employment criteria.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a dealership environment.
- Capability to interpret vendor catalogs.
- Proficiency in using parts department computer systems and calculators.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment: The AutoNation Parts Center operates in a non-temperature-controlled setting. Employees should be prepared to work in varying temperatures throughout the year.
