Position Overview: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving and verifying incoming shipments, ensuring that all items are accurately stocked and documented in accordance with dealership protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and confirm shipments, ensuring accuracy in both orders and quantities.
  • Process will-call orders efficiently.
  • Prepare parts for sales staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of receiving and shipping activities.
  • Organize and prepare shipments for stocking.
  • Assist with inventory stocking and management.
  • Support the upkeep of storage bins and equipment.
  • Help arrange the department layout, including the movement of storage bins as required.
  • Oversee returned parts and manage a designated storage area for these items.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper labeling of all bins, aisles, and storage areas.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet the company's employment criteria.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a dealership environment.
  • Capability to interpret vendor catalogs.
  • Proficiency in using parts department computer systems and calculators.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment: The AutoNation Parts Center operates in a non-temperature-controlled setting. Employees should be prepared to work in varying temperatures throughout the year.
