Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Care Access Associate to join our team at Long's Human Resource Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth clinic experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and families entering the health clinic.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and uphold clinic standards.
  • Support daily clinic operations by:
    • Handling patient registration, check-in, and discharge.
    • Scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-ups.
    • Verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information.
    • Scanning health record documents.
    • Collecting payments, co-pays, and prior balances.
  • Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth clinic experience.
  • Review clinic schedules and follow check-in/discharge protocols.
  • Provide general patient services, including addressing concerns and resolving complaints with the office manager.
  • Work on scheduling and coordinating ancillary and consult appointments.
  • Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about insurance, parking, and available programs.
  • Assist in training new care access associates and stay updated through daily email communications.
  • Maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing clinic environment.
  • Monitor office supplies and ensure proper functioning of office equipment.
  • Perform related duties as needed to support the department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clerical experience in an access center, customer service, or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
  • Higher education may substitute for required experience.
