Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Building Systems Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex building systems, ensuring efficient performance and safety standards.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement energy-efficient building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment readings, maintenance history, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Trade school or vocational high school degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia license to practice as a professional engineer.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in building systems design and implementation, including maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent knowledge of operating and servicing entire building and support systems, including HVAC, Steam, HHW, DDC, refrigeration, pneumatic, and building safety equipment.
  • Ability to observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practice.
