Job Overview

Alarm.com, a leading provider of cloud-based security and IoT solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to drive revenue growth and manage key relationships with regional dealers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase productivity and sales of Alarm.com products among assigned dealer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key individuals within the account base, identifying and resolving obstacles to dealer success.
  • Collaborate with the Alarm.com Training Engineer to develop dealer training plans and deliver on-site product training activities.
  • Establish relationships with industry partners and educate them on the Alarm.com offering to influence dealer sales activity.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Director and Vice President of Sales to identify target dealers and coordinate sales and support efforts with inside sales.
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with Alarm.com's dealers, communicating vital information to management.
  • Provide weekly account and sales activity reports, as well as other documentation as requested.
  • Attend industry association meetings and trade shows as necessary.
  • Interface with various departments within the organization, including Dealer Operations & Support, Sales Support & Training, Product Management, and Marketing.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior sales staff and inside sales team.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in outside sales.
  • Must be located in one of the following cities: Phoenix, Salt Lake City, or Denver.
  • Experience in the security industry is a plus.
  • Successful history of client and account management, business development, and/or client training.
  • Proven history of increasing revenue, closing accounts, and successfully growing accounts.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to meet heavy travel demands – approximate travel is 60%.
  • Ability to manage a large set of accounts and prioritize activities for highest impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client presentation and training delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for providing the highest-quality customer service.
  • Ability to sell concepts and value-added services.
  • Team player with an extremely positive attitude and flexibility.
  • Strong technical and computer skills and aptitude.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a small, fast-paced environment.
