Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, guaranteeing precision and compliance with GAAP.
  • Supervise the upkeep of the general ledger, which includes journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks.
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual budgets and financial projections, tracking performance against established goals.
  • Direct internal and external audit procedures, ensuring prompt and accurate information is available for auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting obligations, specifically in relation to healthcare.
  • Assess cost structures within the organization, pinpointing areas for increased efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with the billing department to oversee revenue cycles, ensuring timely collections and precise reporting.
  • Offer financial counsel to department leaders and support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Manage and enhance accounting software and systems, ensuring they align with the organization's requirements.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting personnel, promoting professional development and growth within the team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting ERP software.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Strong grasp of GAAP and healthcare finance regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
