Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Interlachen Country Club is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for timely and accurate processing and maintenance of accounts receivable and billing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain master files on each member, updating for family data as needed.
  • Verify that all daily work has been turned in from all outlets, pull daily work over, print reports, balance, and post to ensure timely information of member activity.
  • Assist with the verification of reciprocal charges from other clubs and ensure posting to member accounts.
  • Assist members with billing inquiries, research AR discrepancies, and make member adjustments with appropriate department approval.
  • Post member check payments that were scanned into the bank and ACH/Credit Card payments paid online to member accounts to ensure timely information of member payments.
  • Month end close: Verify that all data has been pulled from other outlets and is posted, all adjustments have been made, print reports, print statements, mail statements with backup, and close month.
  • Maintain the monthly aging report, review aging of member accounts, and contact members with delinquent balances greater than 60 days to ensure their account stays current.
  • Process equity refunds when they come due for both members on the Golf Equity Refund List and the Social Equity Refund List.
  • Assist and be able to perform duties of Accounts Payable when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Must possess excellent data entry skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented but also be able to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  • Have at least 2 years of relevant AR experience.
  • Must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English language required.

Reports to: Director of Finance
