We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Assistant to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a key member of our Credit Department, you will provide essential administrative support to our Credit Manager, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining customer credit files.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily administrative support to the Credit Manager, including researching customer credit information, processing credit applications, and handling clerical duties.
- Process bank and trade references via email, phone, or fax from incoming or existing credit applications, and update customer credit limits and terms accordingly.
- Notify customers of their approved credit terms and limits via email.
- Handle incoming and outgoing credit inquiries efficiently.
- Email customers to collect past-due invoices.
- Collaborate and communicate with various departments on matters related to customer accounts.
- Prepare final demand notifications and collection packets as directed by the Credit Manager and report relevant information and payments to third-party collection agencies.
- Monitor and respond to emails in the credit inbox promptly.
- Answer and direct incoming calls from the credit line.
- Prepare weekly aging reports and bi-weekly delinquent account reports.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Credit Assistant or in collections, within an office environment.
- Strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required.
