- Guest Services: Facilitate the check-in and check-out processes for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operational Duties: Manage Property Management System (PMS) operations, handle cash and credit card transactions, and operate the switchboard with professionalism.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to front office emergency and security procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Reservations Management: Process reservations for guest rooms and meeting spaces, including group bookings.
- Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks as directed by management, ensuring the front desk area is organized and presentable.
- Breakfast Services: Set up and maintain the breakfast bar, ensuring cleanliness and replenishment as needed.
- Sales and Inquiries: Engage with potential guests through phone inquiries and assist with room sales.
- Professional Standards: Maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with company uniform policies.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
- Strong computer and typing skills.
- Ability to interact courteously with the public and work independently.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with night audit processes and basic accounting principles.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, reaching, and light lifting.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Normal vision and hearing capabilities to respond to emergencies and communicate effectively.
