As a Medicare Insurance Sales Consultant (internally referred to as Advocate Agent), you will benefit from limitless earning potential, the flexibility to work remotely, comprehensive paid training, and the possibility of advancing into a leadership position.

Your Earnings

Our first-year Advocate Agents typically earn between $60,000 and $75,000, with top achievers reaching up to $154,000. Your bonus potential is uncapped, providing limitless opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

As an Advocate Agent I, you will act as a reliable authority on Medicare insurance and have access to leading carriers (Humana, Anthem, UnitedHealthcare, and more). Your mission will be to connect clients with insurance plans that meet their requirements and financial constraints.

At GoHealth, we believe that our top sales professionals should focus on what they excel at—selling. You will primarily manage incoming calls from clients interested in reducing their Medicare costs and enhancing their benefit coverage, while also expanding your client base through proactive outreach.

Key Duties:

  • Evaluate and determine the insurance needs of GoHealth clients via phone.
  • Effectively market health insurance plans and products to clients.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, representing our brand.
  • Quickly understand new concepts and product offerings, including Major Medical, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and other ancillary health products.
  • Assist clients through the health insurance policy selection and application process.

Qualifications:

  • Active, valid health insurance agent license in good standing in all states where licensed.
  • Knowledge of Medicare is essential, with at least one year of Medicare sales experience and one Annual Enrollment Period preferred.
  • Maintain call productivity and metrics in line with established goals.
  • Acquire and maintain necessary product knowledge and ensure clear, concise communication of product information to target audiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly coachable and consistently seeking improvement.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; mandatory overtime during the Annual Enrollment Period.
  • Must uphold patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Proficient in computer use, including MS Office, with an emphasis on multitasking.

What We Provide:

Minimum Salary: $44,632

Maximum Salary: $154,153

This compensation range represents the potential total compensation (base salary and any bonus potential) that GoHealth anticipates paying for this role at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary based on numerous factors, including geographic location, and we may ultimately offer more or less than the stated range. This range is subject to change.
