Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication abilities, overseeing the daily functions of their designated department through the following tasks:

  • Organizing, directing, and providing technical assistance to technicians to fulfill both team and client requirements.
  • Engaging in the recruitment and training of technicians to support ongoing growth and superior industry performance.
  • Supervising technicians to ensure effective execution of equipment repair, installation, and operational duties.

Additional Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating technicians' work to guarantee compliance with established quality standards and safety protocols; recommending enhancements to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Conducting performance reviews and setting improvement objectives in line with company standards.
  • Establishing a consistent training regimen to ensure direct reports are adept in the latest techniques and safety practices.
  • Facilitating group and individual meetings with technicians for training, assessment, and communication purposes.
  • Regularly coordinating with dispatchers to ensure proper scheduling based on skill level and training needs.
  • Assisting in the development and oversight of budgets, goals, and objectives to secure departmental success.
  • Ensuring adherence to all company policies by direct reports.
  • Monitoring service vehicles to maintain operational efficiency and adequate inventory of parts and materials.
  • Collaborating with other departmental leaders to achieve company-wide objectives.
  • Performing other necessary tasks to maintain efficient departmental operations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role and possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in Home Services Management or a related field (e.g., Plumbing, HVAC).
  • Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and generator systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
  • Technical aptitude with a resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to enhance team productivity and quality of work.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in common office software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A commitment to personal and team improvement.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
