Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for the Home Services Manager position will be a detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication abilities, responsible for overseeing the daily functions of their department through the following tasks:

  • Organizing and providing technical guidance to technicians to fulfill the needs of both the team and clients. Engaging in the recruitment and training of technicians to support ongoing growth and superior performance.
  • Supervising technicians to ensure efficient execution of equipment repairs, installations, start-ups, and other essential duties.

Additional Duties

  • Evaluating technicians' work to guarantee adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and efficiency; offering recommendations for enhancement.
  • Conducting performance reviews and setting improvement objectives in line with company expectations.
  • Establishing a continuous training program to keep team members updated on the latest techniques and safety practices.
  • Facilitating group and individual meetings with technicians for training, assessments, and effective communication.
  • Maintaining regular communication with dispatchers to ensure optimal scheduling based on skill sets and training needs.
  • Assisting in the formulation and oversight of budgets, goals, and objectives to drive departmental success.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures among direct reports.
  • Monitoring the condition of service vehicles to guarantee operational efficiency and maintaining adequate inventory levels of parts and materials.
  • Collaborating with other department managers to achieve overarching company goals.
  • Performing other relevant tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications

The Home Services Manager should have a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience and possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in Home Services Management or a related field (e.g., Plumbing, HVAC).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and generator systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics effectively.
  • Technical proficiency and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities to boost team productivity and quality of work.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in common office software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A strong commitment to personal and team development.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, fostering pride in work among team members.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
