POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Housekeeping Department through various administrative tasks. This position is responsible for generating room attendant assignment sheets by analyzing reports, confirming room statuses, and identifying discrepancies. The coordinator prioritizes cleaning tasks and updates the status of guest rooms upon departure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document and address issues related to room discrepancies in collaboration with the Front Desk.
  • Assist management with daily administrative functions, ensuring payroll documentation is accurate and addressing inquiries from housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain and update the list of 'Do Not Disturb' rooms, ensuring compliance with guest preferences.
  • Prepare for daily pre-shift meetings by distributing assignments, reviewing VIP guests, and following up on previous day’s issues.
  • Compile materials for monthly meetings and manage lost and found items effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to coordinate maintenance and special requests.
  • Ensure timely cleaning of vacant dirty rooms and manage urgent cleaning requests.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs for guest rooms and public areas promptly.
  • Handle guest complaints within the scope of authority and escalate issues to management when necessary.
