Compensation: $23.50 per hour
Position Overview:
As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the operations of the Beach Club's housekeeping, public areas, and laundry services. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our service standards are met, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Duties Include:
- Supporting the cleanliness and efficiency of the hotel by managing housekeeping and laundry operations.
- Preparing inventory and productivity reports as needed.
- Conducting inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
- Scheduling tasks for housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Maintaining knowledge of cleaning and laundry equipment and their maintenance.
- Communicating effectively with the Front Office to manage guest requests and staff assignments.
- Completing inventories and purchase orders for necessary supplies.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Training team members on operational standards and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records of room furnishings and appliances.
- Managing payroll and attendance documentation.
- Recommending improvements and repairs to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Acting as the primary contact in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
- Conducting inspections to ensure compliance with service standards.
- Monitoring service quality and teamwork.
- Maintaining a visible presence in the department to assist staff and guests.
- Ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Keeping supervisors informed of significant issues and developments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your leadership will play a vital role in exceeding guest expectations through exceptional service and teamwork, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Supervisory Role:
You will oversee housekeeping and laundry staff, guiding their performance and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Responsibilities include training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess relevant experience and training, ideally with a background in housekeeping supervision.
Language Proficiency:
Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to read and interpret business documents and effectively present information. Proficiency in Spanish is required.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations, including calculations related to inventory and productivity.
Reasoning Ability:
Capability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in different formats.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular communication, walking, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Employees may encounter various working conditions, including exposure to outdoor weather and cleaning chemicals.
Collaboration:
Frequent interaction with Engineering, Front Desk, and Human Resources is essential, as well as regular guest engagement.
Scheduling Flexibility:
Our operations run 24/7, and flexibility in scheduling is necessary to meet business needs.
