Job Title: Epigenomics Application Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Epigenomics Application Specialist to join our team at Hologic. As a key member of our Life Sciences team, you will be responsible for providing scientific and technical support to our customers, identifying new accounts, and introducing our technology portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess customer experimental needs and implement training, experimental designs, and analytical approaches to ensure customer success.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, and providing technical information and support.
  • Assist customers in designing and conducting experiments to effectively utilize our solutions.
  • Conduct scientific presentations to internal and external audiences for pre- and post-sales activities.
  • Provide scientific and applications feedback to R&D and Product Management.
  • Develop accounts by checking customer buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
  • Work with digital marketing tools to manage leads from all sources, including events, webinars, website, and marketing automation activities.
  • Generate new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails for targeted proactive campaigns.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, make appropriate recommendations.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
  • Maintain and expand our database of prospects.
  • Perform effective onsite and online demos.
  • Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
  • Cooperate with technical teams and share information across the organization (R&D teams).
  • Identify sales opportunities through tech support engagement, with the objective of maximizing the customer life cycle value.
  • Keep clients up to date with Diagenode's solution portfolio, educate customers on new technologies.
  • Managing customer incidents in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Proactively learn new technologies as well as the supported products.
  • Be prepared to visit customers for on-site relationship building, troubleshooting, and technical presentations.
Qualifications:
  • PhD or Post-Doc in the field of molecular biology required.
  • Expertise and/or passion for Chromatin, DNA, and RNA studies and NGS technologies.
  • Motivated team player.
  • Persistence and sense of initiatives.
  • Proactive attitude in solving problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent oral presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% domestic, and occasional travel to our HQ in Europe (meetings and trainings).

The annualized base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand.
